Therapy with Dr. Zoe Ross-Nash
Collaborative and Compassionate Care
Coming to therapy is a courageous act of self care. You're not alone, I am here with you.
As a trauma therapist, my approach to therapy is centered around collaboration and a deep understanding of the factors contributing to your challenges. I work to uncover not only the immediate issues you're facing but also the context in which those struggles developed. As a licensed trauma therapist, I believe every individual holds the capacity to live a fulfilling and meaningful life, including you. Sometimes, it's simply a matter of developing or refining the skills that promote healing and balance. Through a warm, supportive therapeutic relationship, we can harness those strengths and help you create a richer, more satisfying life.
You deserve it.

Understanding Mental Health
I view many concerns as responses that were once adaptive to past life circumstances but have become unhelpful over time. For instance, coping mechanisms like restriction of food or isolation might have helped you handle overwhelming emotions in the past but now may hinder your ability to move forward, which likely led to a life feeling misunderstood.
Therapy with me is a process of understanding why these patterns developed and then working together to find healthier, more effective strategies to meet your current needs. By building awareness around the function of these behaviors and your own self understanding, we can introduce new tools and self concepts that allow for growth and healing.

Trauma-Informed and Trauma-Focused Care
Trauma-informed care acknowledges the profound impact that trauma can have on your emotional, physical, and mental health. This approach ensures that therapy is conducted in a safe, supportive, and empowering environment, sensitive to the needs of individuals who have experienced trauma. Whether the trauma was from childhood experiences, domestic violence, military service, or other difficult events, the focus is on healing at your own pace. In trauma-informed care, we will work with you to build trust, maintain a sense of safety, and explore ways to overcome the lasting effects of traumatic experiences. Learn more about trauma-informed care from SAMHSA – a nationally recognized resource on trauma, recovery, and mental health support. We also provide trauma focused treatment like EMDR and CPT.
Eating Disorder Educated
Eating Disorder Educated recognizes the complexity surrounding eating disorders. We will approach conversations around food, body image, and weight with sensitivity and care, knowing it is not "just" about the food. We will walk with you as we challenge harmful myths and stereotypes, find body liberation, and self-acceptance using a Health at Every Size® approach developed by the Association for Size Diversity and Health. The goal is to find connection with food and your body in a way that feels safe, and hopefully one day, joyful.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
DBT is a powerful, evidence-based approach that focuses on teaching skills to manage emotions, tolerate distress, and improve interpersonal relationships. It's particularly effective for individuals who experience intense emotions, such as anger, anxiety, or sadness, that seem overwhelming. DBT helps you gain a better understanding of your emotional reactions and gives you the tools to respond in healthier ways. Through a combination of mindfulness practices and practical exercises, DBT supports clients in building a life that feels more balanced and fulfilling.
Relational Therapy
Relational therapy focuses on improving the quality of your relationships, both with yourself and others. This approach recognizes that much of our emotional distress comes from conflicts or difficulties in our interpersonal connections. Whether you're struggling with intimate relationships, family dynamics, or friendships, relational therapy helps you understand how these relationships impact your emotional health. By exploring the patterns in your relationships and working through past wounds or conflicts, you can build more fulfilling and supportive connections with the people around you.
Subtle shifts. Lasting change.

Are you eligible for reimbursement through insurance?
Answers to Your Most Common Questions
+Get in touch with your insurance company
Start by calling or emailing the contact information provided on your insurance card. Having your policy reference numbers accessible ahead of time will be helpful. If your insurance supports out-of-network coverage (commonly PPO plans), EHA can provide a Superbill, which is a detailed invoice for clinical services. All clients can explore their out-of-network insurance benefits as a way to help cover the cost of therapy.
+Learn about your out-of-network benefits
Ask your insurance representative, 'Does my coverage include out-of-network benefits for mental health care?' and 'Specifically, for outpatient psychotherapy via tele-health?'
+Understand what deductible you owe before your coverage engages
Ask your insurance representative, 'Do I have a deductible that I have to meet before out-of-network tele-health services would be covered?' and 'If so, what amount is remaining before I am entitled for reimbursement for any associated out-of-pocket fees?'
+Determine how much reimbursement is available to you
Ask your insurance representative, 'How much can my plan cover for mental health service code 90837 when seen by a Psychologist?' You can also try asking for the highest permitted cost for code 90837, and what portion of that maximum your plan covers — that fraction is the reimbursement you would get.
We're happy to work with you if you have any questions.
